Dr Loch-Wilkinson will aim to treat those conditions by comprehensively assessing your problem and if required performing an operation using the latest medical technology to achieve the best possible outcome.

Dr Loch-Wilkinson will thoroughly assess your condition prior to recommending the optimal treatment plan for your condition. He may recommend non-invasive/non-surgical spine treatment such as physiotherapy, refer you for additional imaging or investigations, or recommend spine surgery in order to treat your condition and relieve your symptoms.
Dr Loch-Wilkinson consults on and manages both adult and paediatric spine conditions for patients above the age of 14. Patients below the age of 14 can be offered consultation but are usually unable to be offered surgery at the Brisbane Private or Royal Brisbane and Women’s hospital and may be redirected or referred to the Queensland Children’s Hospital. You will be consulted throughout the entire process and will be kept informed on your progress and what to expect post-surgery.
As a patient, please bring to all appointments a current referral from your doctor or health specialist and the following documents:
- Previous X-rays, CT scans or MRI scans
- A list of your medications and allergies
- Worker’s Compensation insurer and claim details, as well as pre-approval
- Any other material or information related to your issue
Please note:
- Spine Brain Nerve Neurosurgery (SBNN) patients are charged a consultation fee that is partially reimbursed by Medicare.
- In cases where fee payment is difficult, treatment can be obtained as an outpatient at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.
